I lost my son, Adam, to suicide in November, 2023. He was 15 years old. I now speak to others about Adam and my grief journey. My hope is that by having these hard conversations, we will work to end the stigma around suicide and struggles with mental health, and find our path to mental wellness.
On October 27, we proudly participated in the Out of the Darkness Walk, organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in Broward County, Florida.
The Out of the Darkness walks create a powerful sense of unity and provide a platform for people to connect over shared experiences with mental health and suicide loss, helping to break down stigma and foster a supportive community. By walking together, friends, family members, and even entire communities show solidarity for suicide awareness and prevention, honoring those lost while supporting each other on the journey to healing. Now, we invite you to an inspirational seminar where Shana will share her and Adam's journey alongside trained, licensed professionals.
